Can Llandudno cause another big cup upset this weekend?

If anyone from a lower league can cause a major upset and knock The New Saints off their Nathaniel MG Cup perch it’s probably Llandudno.

The Cymru North leaders have already dumped Cymru Premier high-flyers Connah’s Quay Nomads out of the JD Welsh Cup and the Seasiders have the chance to create another sensation when they visit holders TNS in the ‘Natty’ semi-final at Park Hall this Saturday.

Tudno are undefeated in 12 league and cup matches and have not been beaten in 90 minutes this season.

Saints, meanwhile, suffered a rare early Welsh Cup exit when they crashed at Cardiff Met in the last 32.

Nathaniel MG Cup holders Saints host Llandudno at Park Hall this Saturday 6 December, kicking off at 14:30.

Also on Saturday Cambrian United will entertain Barry Town United at the M&P Group 3G at 17:15. This tie will be broadcast live by Sgorio and will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer, YouTube and S4C Clic.

The league fixtures impacted by clubs’ involvement in the Nathaniel MG Cup semi-finals have been rearranged for the new dates below:

Briton Ferry Llansawel v The New Saints – Tuesday 9 December, 19:45
Penybont v Barry Town United – Tuesday 9 December, 19:45
Llandudno v Mold Alexandra – Friday 12 December, 19:45*
Cambrian United v Carmarthen Town – New date TBC
*Will be rearranged if Llandudno progress to Round Four of the JD Welsh Cup (WHICH THEY DID)
