Welsh Cup hat-trick star Tom Hilditch, plus double-goal heroes Dion Jones and Andy Clarke all made a significant impact on the Bob Brodie Trophy chart at the weekend.
The competition to crown Ynys Môn senior football’s top-scorer has been ongoing since 2011-12.
It is named in honour of Bob, a very popular player and manager on the island, who passed away in 2011.
Last season’s contest finished up extremely close and produced joint-winners – Luke McGivern of Cemaes Bay and former Gwalchmai striker Connor Owen, who bagged 33 goals apiece.
And the ‘golden boot’ battle for the current campaign is very tight so far as well, Menai Bridge Tigers net-busters Jamie McDaid narrowly leading the way.
