A thrilling local derby was decided by a late goal for Hotspur from former Trearddur player Cameron Buckley.

Tonight in our second competitive game together we travelled up the road to neighbours Trearddur Bay.
We knew from the off we were in for a tough test as they are a well-organised established team, winning league and cup back-to-back.
First half we decided to go against the wind and dig in deep. Trearddur opened the scoring through talented Lennon Owen in the 40th minute.
From the restart we applied pressure, winning a free kick which Luke Jones whipped in for Dan Doyle to rise highest and take us into the break 1-1.
Making two changes for the second half, we should have had the wind to our backs but it strangely disappeared.
It stayed 1-1 until the 74th minute, Casey Gregg finding Myles Jones who scored from 35 yards out into the top corner.
Bay went straight up the other end to bring the scoreline back level through Sol Williams.
Then in the 87th minute Shay Murphy found Cameron Buckley who slotted into the bottom left corner.
These derby games are always difficult to judge and considering Bay haven’t lost at home since 15th October 2023 it’s a huge achievement by our newly-formed side.
Special mention goes to 17 year old Joe Jones picking up today’s MoTM and we wish Trearddur Bay all the best for the rest of the season.

A close-fought derby went Gaerwen’s way, goals from Jay Jones, Jordan Pritchard, captain Aaron Evans and Osian Howarth clinching the points, Caleb Efans, Cai Griffiths and Joshuah Codjoe replying for the Sandmen.
Captain Padrig Hickey and Osian Neary, with a 90th minute decider, provided the goals which earned a narrow victory for Llanrug, Liam Williams responding for Llandegai.
Jac Bee’s fifth-minute goal was enough to win the contest for Bontnewydd, who played the second half with 10 men after having Gareth Huws-Thomas red carded on 41.
Charlie Jackson’s hat-trick helped Llanberis claim the honours at Maes Eilian, Caio Jones also on target for the Darans, with Oisin Mcareavey (2) and Sion Banham keeping Llanfairpwll in the game.
Sub Noa Griffith grabbed the 78th minute goal which ensured Nefyn edged the spoils in the Llŷn Peninsula derby at Cae’r Delyn.
The game was goalless until Llyr Williams put the Penwaig ahead on 70 minutes, but Cai Tate soon levelled to set up a tense finish.
Griffith emerged as the hero, converting a Luke Allaway assist.
Ryan Boyle netted the eighth minute goal which clinched three points for hosts Glan Conwy.
A seven-goal cracker at Cae Sling saw the visitors shade the verdict.
Ronald Siby, Alex McGoona, Lennon Williams and Rhys Brook bagged a goal apiece for the Swifts, Harrylee Birchall (2, 1 pen) and Darren Evans pushing Pen close.
Jamie Williams, sub Nathan Rowan and Dylan Jones (penalty) split the goals which sealed maximum points for the Wanderers in a Denbighshire derby.
Joshua Roberts and Josh Brown put Saints two-up before Owen Sidney notched a consolation from the penalty spot fir Henllan.
Ryan Fleming (3), Lewie Foston (2), Ryan Roberts (2), sub Jake Maxwell (2), Jacob Jones (2, 1 pen) and a Sam Hughes single combined to bring up a dynamic dozen for the Bay.
Captain Steve Gilmour scored Sports’ only goal.
Josh Duckenfield, Harry Dodwell and Jack Jones were on the mark for Llandudno, but Thomas Wardle, Riley Cranham and sub Jac Thomas hit back to earn Mochdre a share of the points.
