Bute Energy Women’s Welsh Cup: New faces Prestatyn Town land local derby in first tie

Late entrants Prestatyn Town have landed themselves an away local derby against Rhyl-based NFA in the first qualifying round of the Bute Energy Women’s Welsh Cup first qualifying round north.

BUTE ENERGY WELSH CUP FIRST QUALIFYING ROUND NORTH (to be played September 21)
Buckley Town v Wrexham Foresters
Denbigh Town v Northop Hall
NFA v Prestatyn Town

BYES: Kinmel Bay, Llangefni Town, Llanidloes Town, CPD Llanystumdwy, Pwllheli

An additional round has been added to this season’s competition due to a record number of teams that have entered.

Qualifying Round One will only consist of six ties (three North, three South) and will be made up of clubs in Tier 3 and below. Tier 2 clubs will enter in the newly-created Qualifying Round Two.

All teams from Tier 3 and below will be placed in the bowl for the QR1 draw, but only six balls were drawn in each section to determine the ties. The clubs remaining in the bowl received a bye to QR2.
