The JD Cymru Premier has been forced to postpone two fixtures across the coming weekend as communities across Deeside and Flintshire are without water due to a burst main.
The following fixtures have been postponed due to the ongoing issue:
Friday, 15 August – Connah’s Quay Nomads v Bala Town
Saturday, 16 August – Flint Town United v Haverfordwest County
Dŵr Cymru have indicated that repairs are unable to be completed quickly due to the complex nature of the pipe’s position underground and the proximity to electric cables and other services.
An early decision has been made on Saturday’s fixture due to Haverfordwest’s travel arrangements.
Rearranged dates for both fixtures will be confirmed in due course.
Connah’s Quay Nomads said opponents Bala Town had been offered alternative vanues but refused them.
Nomads said in a statement: “Despite offering numerous alternatives to Bala, tonight’s JD Cymru Premier fixture has been postponed due to the water crisis in Flintshire.
“We have been in discussions earlier today and offered a new date, a reverse fixture at Maes Tegid both tonight and tomorrow, and also a neutral venue.
“However, our opponents have not agreed with those offers and therefore, a new date for this fixture will be announced in due course.”
