NWCFA Intermediate Cup draw: Gwalchmai and Penrhyndeudraeth to meet for third season in a row

Wednesday evening’s NWCFA Intermediate Cup first round draw featured 13 ties, with three clubs receiving byes to the next stage.

Last season’s runners-up Kinmel Bay are one of the teams going automatically through to the next round, along with Mochdre Sports and CPD Llanystumdwy.

An interesting pairing sees a repeat of the 2024 final between Gwalchmai and Penrhyndeudraeth.

Gwalch won 3-1 on that occasion and also turned over Penrhyn 4-1 in last season’s competition, so the Cockles will feel revenge is long overdue.
