Division One leaders Menai Mavericks were pushed hard in their latest clash with Dyffryn Ladies, but the Anglesey side edged home 22-20.
Mavericks were six ahead at half time, four in front entering the last and lost the final quarter 4-2, but held on for the points.
Second-placed Rebals TC beat Pwllheli Panthers convincingly 36-14.
Hanna Jones stood out for Rebals, while Millie Roberts was impressive for the Panthers,
Tim o Walis finished the opening quarter 10-3 up on Fflamau TC and that proved crucial as the other segments were much closer. Walis won the match 28-16.
Dolgellau overcame the challenge of Celts Bach 32-20. The second quarter was a corker – both teams scoring 11 goals and it was 6-6 in the fourth. However, Dol won the first and third convincingly, 8-2 and 7-1 – and that made the difference,
Division Two action saw second-place Pwllheli Pumas move to within four points of leaders Genod Walis after a 26-20 scoreline against Blaenau Ffestiniog made it 18 wins in 19 starts – but the final result does not tell the full story.
The first half was a great battle, Blaenau winning the opener 7-6 and at the break, the sides were tied at 10-10.
Pumas laid a victory platform in quarter three, which they won big 10-4, and that settled the game as the curtain-closer was shared 6-6. The third made a major difference to the match.
Porthmadog were 28-22 winners over Walis Wariars, who took the last quarter emphatically 9-4, but were too far behind the make an impact on the end outcome.
Walis Midffild were always on top against Bethesda Bach, clinching a 32-11 verdict.
Holyhead Hawks were also too strong for Llewod Llyfni, recording a 31-13 triumph.
