New management teams appointed at Mochdre Sports and Llysfaen football clubs

Meet Llysfaen’s new management team

News of new management at North Wales Coast East League clubs Llysfaen and Mochdre Sports.

Premier Division Sports have appointed Jason Williams as first team manager and Martin Harwood as his assistant.

Meanwhile, Division One Llysfaen have welcomed Gaz Dentith and Gaz Sorfleet as their new management team.

Mochdre finished sixth in the Premier last season and generally always show up well as a strong Tier 4 side.

Llysfaen have had mixed fortunes in Tier 5 over the past few seasons, with 2019-20 by far their best, but early training numbers have been encouraging and optimism is high at the charmingly named Banana Pitch.

Jason Williams has coached Anglesey-based Gaerwen Juniors for many years and now also manages the Gaerwen Development team.

Together, Jason and Martin Harwood run Epic Skilz football coaching school.

Mochdre chairman Martin Brady said: “I’ve known Jason for 7 or 8 years and he’s one of the most enthusiastic and dedicated coaches I’ve come across.  He eats, sleeps and breathes football.

Taking on the Gaerwen Development Team was a natural next step into senior football for Jason and I’m delighted he’ll now be taking an additional next step by leading our first team, with the support of Martin Harwood.

“Jason and Martin are aligned in their vision to play a style of football which matches that of our own.

I know Jason will also actively look at opportunities to take advantage of our excellent youth system.

His existing relationship with Curtis, who leads our own Development Team makes this an excellent fit for everyone concerned.

“We’re really looking forward to supporting Jason and Martin as we look to push the club forward next season.  We’re going to be looking for one or two more candidates to support them in the coaching team too”.

LLYSFAEN

Gaz Dentith and Gaz Sorfleet bring bags of experience in coaching and have both been part of the community for a number of years.

They will be joined on the management team by Dan Batey and Gavin Evans as assistant-managers.

“Today marks one big step forward for the club!,” said the club on social media.

Training is on Wednesdays between 7 pm and 8.30 pm at The Bananabeu, Llysfaen.

Contact Llysfaen’s Facebook page if you have any questions.
