North Wales Coast East League composition is confirmed – but not everything is cut and dried

Rhos United (red) have been accepted into the Premier Division – provided they get their ground up to Tier 4 standard by June 30

The make-up of the two North Wales Coast East League Tier 4 and 5 divisions for 2025-26 has been released – although there are still a few outstanding issues to be resolved.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix are confirmed as being promoted to Tier 3 on becoming 2024-25 Premier Division champions.

Llandudno Swifts have resigned from the league and will amalgamate with Conwy Borough in 2025-26.

Crozzy FC and Dunes FC are new club applicants. The grounds of these clubs must adhere to the ground criteria (tier 5) of the league and must be located within the boundaries of the NWCFA.

In relation to Dunes FC they had stated that their club’s name be reversed to Gronant FC – this was not acceptable to the liaison committee and was therefore rejected.

If they wished to become members of the league they would have to continue as Dunes FC and as previously stated play all their fixtures in a ground that is within the boundaries of the NWCFA.

The promotion of Rhos United to the Premier Division from Division One on becoming divisional champions was approved on the condition their ground adheres to the Tier 4 ground criteria.

The club has until June 30 to complete the work necessary to upgrade their Betws-yn-Rhos ground to tier 4 standard.

The liaison committee agreed that the following clubs be relegated from the Premier Division to Division One: Bow FC, Llandyrnog United and Rhuddlan Town.

Any club wishing to appeal decisions regarding their league placement must do so directly to the FAW within seven working days.

The fixtures for both divisions will commence on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

It is proposed to hold the league AGM on July 17, 2025 at the Conwy Borough FC clubhouse.

The NWCFA AGM is at the Split Willows, Llanfairfechan on June 30, 2025

All clubs now need to affiliate ASAP with the NWCFA and this is done via comet.
