Action from Bow Development v Rhyl Albion Development

NWCFA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE – REPORTS MARCH 16

PREMIER DIVISION

Bow Development 2 Rhyl Albion Development 1

Jamie Grimshaw’s double won the day for Bow in this fierce battle of local rivals.

Bow started well with a strong squad on parade and had plenty of chances within the first 20 minutes but some good saves from Albion keeper Haydn Horsfield initially kept the hosts at bay.

However, in the 21st minute a scramble in the box led to Shane Thomas heading towards goal and Grimshaw applying the finish.

Albion levelled on 33 when a Keiran Kendrick free kick from the edge of the box was saved by Liam Curzon, but the Bow defence was sleeping and Matthew Harrison followed up the rebound to make it 1-1 at the break.

Bow were confident they would get more chances and a minute into the second half, a Barry Roche corner was headed in at the back post by man of the match Grimshaw.

Rhyl Albion kept fighting and had a couple of chances, but Bow’s defence stood solid to see the win out

Josh Jones was man of the match for Albion.
