Bethesda Athletic victorious in Intermediate Cup and league – also North Wales Coast West round-up

Dave Clarke makes a crucial penalty save for Bethesda

David Clarke was the Bethesda hero as he saved rwo penalties in a shoot out to see his team into the next round of the Intermediate Cup.

Clarke, who recently joined Athletic from Mynydd Llandegai, kept out efforts from Tomos Williams and Aaron Hughes as the visitors went through 4-2 on spot kicks.

There was no separating these two North Wales Coast West Premier Division sides after 90 minutes so it went to pens, birthday boy Osian Hughes, Scott Hughes, Joe Todd and Cain Williams converting for Mark N Hughes’ side.

Bethesda Athletic 3 CPD Nefyn United 2
Leaders Pesda maintained their 100 percent record by making it a magnificent seven straight victories at the expense of Nefyn.
Scott Hughes, Cameron Robertson and Osian Hughes netted for the hosts, the latter pair also providing an assist each, Rhys Williams and Josh Piper replying for the Penwaig.

CPD Bontnewydd 3 CPD Mynydd Llandegai 0
Alex Kalafusz, Aled Hughes and Jac Thompson shared the goals in a win which also saw Sion Kelly red-carded for the hosts on 35 minutes.
Iwan Morris saw red for the visitors four minutes over the 90.

CPD Boded 5 CPD Llannerchymedd 2
Goals from Rob Tiesteel (2), Shaun Jenkins, Justin Williams and sub Gareth Torr banked the points for Boded, Arden Gisbourne and Cai Miller responding.

Glantraeth 2 Gwalchmai 3
Connor Owen (2) and Gwion Thomas ensured Gwalchmai took the spoils at Glantraeth, whose responses came via Osian Andrews and Dylan Williams.

CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 2 Cemaes Bay 2
All-square at Maes-y-Parc, Tom Hughes (penalty) and Alun Hughes on the mark for Penrhyn, Tom Wood getting one back for Cemaes before Dafydd Rowlands bagged a 98th minute equaliser.

CPD Pentraeth 1 CPD Llanrug United 1
Matthew Parry nudged Pentraeth ahead on 53 minutes, but Jonathan Sadler rescued a point for Llanrug with an equaliser after 89.

Division One

Bethesda Rovers 5 CPD Deiniolen 2
Kieron Bullock (2), Jordan Pritchard, Tommy Roberts and Tom Williams conbined to deliver maximum spoils for Rovers, Ethan Kiernan with both for Deiniolen, who had Gethin Parry red-carded.

CPD Cefni 1 Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs 4
Great win on the road for Blaenau, Sion Roberts (2), Gethin Roberts and Joe Dukes-Morgan splitting the goals for the Quarrymen, who had Oliver Dukes-Morgan sent off on the hour.
Dion Jones was Cefni’s sole marksman.

Holyhead Town 1 Amlwch Town 3
Callum Hughes, Huw Torr and Martin Byast all found the net in this impressive win for Amlwch, sub Liam Young with a late consolation for the Harbourmen.

Llanfairpwll 5 CPD Mountain Rangers 0
Anthony Williams (2, 1 pen), Tomos Williams, Ywain McGuire-Jones and Dei Thomas supplied the goals which mattered for Llanfairpwll in this convincing victory.

Valley Seniors 0 Llangoed & District 1
Sub Aled Jones came up with the 80th minute decider in Llangoed’s favour.
