Welsh Cup qualifying round two – who did giant killers Gaerwen get in tonight’s draw?

Giant-killers CPD Gaerwen will have to win on their travels against tier 3 opponents for a third time in this season’s Welsh Cup if they are to qualify for the second round.

In tonight’s draw, the tier 5 village side from North Wales Coast West Division One landed a plum tie at fellow Anglesey club Llangefni Town in the round one northern section.

Gaerwen have already seen off Llanfair United and Rhos Aelwyd away from home in this season’s competition.

Elsewhere, third-tier hopefuls CPD Y Rhyl 1879 were drawn at home to Cymru North outfit Flint Mountain, who beat the Lilywhites in three out of four clashes last season.

Llandudno Amateurs have a big task on their hands in their home tie against in-form Ardal North West club Holyhead Hotspur.

All ties will be played on the weekend of September 20-21.
