Barry Roche (furthest right) was on target for Bow FC Development on Sunday

NWCFA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE EAST

Prestatyn Wanderers Development 2 Bow FC Development 5

After a good pre-season Bow Reserves got their Development League campaign off to a winning start in a cracking game against Prestatyn Wanderers.

With results in warm-up friendlies going in their favour, Bow did not want to enter the real thing thinking the game was won before kick-off.

However, the visitors were caught on the backfoot by a positive start from a pressing Prestatyn.

A sloppy back-pass from Barry Rochoe towards his keeper was latched onto by Sol Moore, who put his team one-up after 10 minutes.

A response came five minutes later, with Cam Vaughan placing a free kick straight into the corner.

Wanderers were in bother when both Mark Jones and Ian Hannah were shown red cards three minutes apart.

Goalkeeper Martin King converted a penalty for Bow, but battling Wanderers hit back in added time through Moore’s second to make it 2-2 at the break.

Bow were awarded a penalty early in the second half, which Roche put away to restore the away lead.

Prestatyn still probably looked like the better team even with nine men, but Liam Brown, who did not stop running for 90 minutes, struck Bow’s fourth before Luke Allen scored a goal of the season contender from his own half. Dean Davies was Bow’s man of the match.

Kinmel Bay Development 4 CPD Henllan Development 0

Jacob Jones was a four-goal star in Kinmel Bay’s win, finding the net on 41, 45+4, 49 and 53 – a quadruple within 16 minutes.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix Development 7 Mochdre Sports Development 1

Kyle Cooper’s late hat-trick ensured Phoenix whipped up a big victory over their area rivals.

Harry Jones, Corey Lundstram (pen), Harley Crossfield and Harry Benjamin were Pen’s other marksmen, Chris Smyth replying.

CPD Y Glannau Development 1 Rhyl Albion Development 4

One game, one win for newly-formed Albion Development.

Elliott Maitland-Price, Maurice Stringer, Gaz Fazackerley and an own goal made up the away goals total.

NWCFA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE WEST

CPD Gaerwen Development 0 CPD Pwllheli – Tim Datblygu 7

Iwan Roberts, Tomos Pritchard and Cai Tate all delivered doubles for dominant Pwllheli, Morgan Williams also on target for the visitors.

Llanrug United Development 3 Trearddur Bay Development 7

On a ground where they lost 5-0 last season, Trearddur Bay Development fared a whole lot better on Sunday.

After a mixed pre season with several lads away on holiday at different times, it was nice for Bay to have 70% of the squad available and up and running.

Coming out for the first half, it was like they never had a break with the Beach Boys controlling all aspects of the game, playing nice football and putting on the pressure leading to a penalty which man of the match Cameron Buckley slotted home.

This seemed to open gaps resulting in Buckley quickly getting number two before Morgan Rowlands added a third with a lovely run from full back, calmly finding the bottom right corner.

Half-time: 0-3

Bay were caught cold at the beginning of the season half, Robin Whiteside Thomas putting Llanrug on the scoreboard.

This woke the visitors up. Nice link play through the middle found Kian Hughes, who found the net before Lennon Owen arrived late to slot home for 5-1.

An unforced error allowed United’s Guto Whiteside Thomas to make it 5-2.

In hot conditions, the busy Kian Hughes set up James Leatherbarrow to score for the Anglesey side before Robin Whiteside Thomas quickly replied.

Bay rounded off a good performance with the goal of the day – a free kick by Kian Hughes making it 7-3.

Nantlle Vale Development 6 CPD Llanberis Development 1

Osian Pygall (3), Tomos Jones (2) and Sion Evans shared the goals for Vale, who had Sam Tocker red-carded on 79 minutes.

Daniel Parkinson netted a late consolation for the Darans.

CPD Nefyn United – Tim Datblygu 2 CPD Pentraeth Development 1

Elgan Jones’ net-finder and an Ifan Kotkowicz own goal banked the points for Nefyn, Dyfed Alston responding in the 87th minute for the visitors.

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST
