Promoted CPD Boded have signed two strikers who were joint top-scorers for Holyhead Town last season.

Callum Queen and Craig Moore have both joined the village club, who were newly-formed last term and gained promotion from North Wales Coast West Division One to the Premier.

Queen, 18, notched 10 goals in 21 league matches for the Harbourmen in 2023-24, while Moore, 32, bagged 10 in nine.

Teenager Queen was one of Grassroots North Wales’ dynamic dozen – ones to watch players last season.

Moore has been a celebrated marksman on Ynys Môn for a number of years with the likes of Trearddur Bay United, Glantraeth, Bodedern Athletic, Holyhead Hotspur, Caergybi and Bryngwran Bulls, for whom he hit 57 goals in 2018-19.

In recent seasons, his goals tallies have included:

2018-19: 57 (Bryngwran Bulls)
2016-17: 23 (Bodedern Athletic)
2014-15: 29 (Trearddur Bay United)
2013-14: 31 (Trearddur Bay United)
2012-13: 31 (Holyhead Town)

Commenting on their new captures, CPD Boded said: “Callum is a very good young player who caused us big problems when we faced him last season, so it goes without saying we’re delighted to have him on our side from now on.”

And on securing the signature of “Midge” Moore, Boded added: “Midge was with the club a few years ago and certainly knows where the back of the net is. He’s someone that brings pace to the side and can beat his man. Also comfortable playing at the back.”

Remaining with the Green and White Army this season are:
Shaun Jenkins
Cian Owen
Tony Roberts
Rob Tiesteel
Eric Leach
Bryn Jones
Huw Watkins

No doubt the club will announce further updates on its social media about incomings and retentions as the countdown to what promises to be an exciting 2024-25 continues.
