Bob Brodie Trophy – no stopping ace of net-busters

Asa Thomas has the trophy in the bag

Asa Thomas of Trearddur Bay is a cert to retain his hold on the Bob Brodie Trophy.

Last season’s winner with a record 75 goals, the 33-year-old has hit 58 for the club this season, passing the 50-mark for the first team with a hat-trick at Amlwch on Wednesday.

Kaine Bentley – 40 goals for Gwalchmai

Kaine Bentley’s goal for Gwalchmai in Saturday’s NWCFA Intermediate Cup win over Penrhyndeudraeth edged him up to 40 for the season, putting him equal second with Callum Graves of Menai Bridge Tigers.

It was good to see CPD Cefni’s Dion Jones break the 20 goals barrier this week.

Nice also, that Llannerchymedd enter the chart this week in the shape of eight-goal Cai Miller. Da iawn Cai.

The annual Bob Brodie Trophy competition honours the No 1 marksman in Anglesey senior football each season.
