Three second half goals clinched Northop Hall the Betty Pickering Shield.
Sunday’s final at Brymbo saw North Wales East and North Wales West clash in the final of a competition held for teams eliminated from the Betty Pickering Cup.
After a blank first half, Hall broke the deadlock on 57 minutes when Taylor Roberts was played through, shot on the half-turn from 18 yards, and the ball went in off the post.
Six minutes later it was 2-0 when Brygida Gorecka was through one-on-one with the goalkeeper and slotted home for her eighth goal of the season.
Caernarfon pushed hard to get back into the game, but it was not to be and Daisy Allen clinched the Shield by bagging Hall’s third in the 89th minute.
Allen’s free kick came down off the bar and the ball was deemed to have crossed the goal-line by the officials.
On a glorious sunny afternoon both teams provided a good spectacle for North Wales women’s football.
