What a weekend for Clwb Pêl-Droed Nefyn Unedig – Nefyn United!

Their reserve team were crowned NWCFA Premier Development League champions after a 1-0 home win over Llanrug United Reserves.

Luke Allaway netted the only goal on 11 minutes for the Penwaig, who rounded off the season six unbeaten having taken 16 points out of a possible 18.

Llyr Evans finished up top scorer for the team with six league goals.

As for the first team, they made it eight straight wins and could yet finish third following a 2-1 victory at Glantraeth, Josh Piper and Tomi Evans with the goals.

In their final game, Nefyn will visit CPD Pentraeth on Wednesday, where a point will be sufficient to seal third spot.

And there was also good news for Nefyn United Under-15s as they beat local rivals Pwllheli 2-1 in Saturday’s derby.
