Llongyfarchiadau i Clwb Peldroed Merchaid Pwllheli – pencampwyr cyngrair gogledd orllewin Cymru!
Played nine, won nine – it has been as perfect a league campaign as could possibly be for the Llŷn Peninsula girls.
Pwll clinched the 2023-24 inaugural North Wales Women’s League West title in style with a 3-0 victory at Llanystumdwy on Sunday.
The deadlock was broken on 30 minutes when Lois Thomas chalked up her 15th goal of the season at the back post from a Stacey Sansome assist.
Llanystumdwy were making it tough for the visitors, who could not start to feel comfortable until substitute Catrin Thomas fired in from the top of the box to make it 2-0 after 65 minutes.
Magi Hughes then provided the assist for Charley Davies to score her first of the season with 70 minutes gone.
Then it was time to celebrate for this exceptional team, who will now meet East Division winners Flint Town United to decide the overall North Wales Women’s League champions of 2023-24.
