As Prince once so nearly sang “Let’s Goals Crazy”!
Friday, September 22, 2023 will be remembered in North Wales football for its net-busting stats if nothing else.
NINE GAMES – 62 GOALS across the board. Nearly seven per game! Even the Cymru Premier managed a few….
Here’s the action….
A truly crazy, crazy night at Central Park – so crazy even Kiss would have rejected it for a song lyric.
Eleven goals and three hard-earned points for the 10 men of Denbigh.
By half time it was 3-3 – all six goals arriving in the opening 20 minutes.
Asa Hamilton put Bucks in front on six, home skipper Ryan Kershaw levelled in no time, then Matty Worrall and Nathan Brown struck after 11 and 13 respectively for Dewi Llion’s men.
A Ben Lockley own goal reduced the arrears to one before Hamilton converted a penalty on 20.
In first half added time, Harry Lockley was shown a red card for the hosts.
The drama continued into the second half, Brown putting Denbigh 4-3 up on 51 minutes, only for Liam Driscoll to equalise in the 55th.
Worrall edged the home team 5-4 ahead on 61, but Connor Littler made it five-apiece after 66.
All this barnstorming affair needed now was a winner and it was the 10-men who supplied it, Craig Pritchard bagging the 11th goal of the game on 72.
The 271 in attendance had been thoroughly entertained
After three straight cup wins, Gresford transferred that great knockout form into vital league points.
Haci Ozlu, Dominic Deacon (2) and Charley Edge shared the goals for Eddie Maurice-Jones’ men, Dewi Allen with a late consolation for the Daffs.
Joy for Llandudno! A first league win of the campaign!
This group of Seasiders have put everything into every game since day one, despite results not going their way.
Tonight came the reward for all the hard work. Billy Nicholas made the breakthrough for the hosts on 44 minutes before former Tudno player Shaun Cavanagh levelled from the spot early in the second half.
Stephen Brown soon restored the home lead and Harvey Bennett made it 3-1 on 89 minutes with a great finish following a swift move from the back before Rhys Alun responded for Port in added time.
Llansantffraid continue to take Ardal North East by storm.
On a night of goals, the Powys boys came up with eight of their own to roar to the top of the table.
Jack Harris (2), Khyam Wyton (pen), James Clewlow and Chris Aitken made it 5-0 by half time – points in the bag.
In the closing stages, Oscar Herd, a Mauryn Hughes own goal and Marc Griffiths’ 90th minute strike rounded off a gr-eight night for the hosts.
Mountain eventually asserted their superiority in this contest after they had been pegged back to 2-2 following them establishing a two-goal lead.
Sam Henry and Mike Hayes put Aden Shannon’s men two-up with net-finders on 19 and 32 minutes respectively.

Mountain took over after the break, Henry and Hayes both completing doubles while Rowan Brooks also fired one in.

Llyr Morris made it all-square from a 50th minute penalty, then Luke Molmans edged Town in front for the first time on 72.
Murray McBreeze converted a spot kick to level it on 82, but Williams delivered that timely decider.
What a six days it has been for Menai Bridge!

Callum Davidson was the star man for the stripes, banging in four goals, with Sion Hogan, Callum Graves (2, 1 pen), Paul Rowlands and Jordan Pritchard making up the nine.
And all this after Llandegai had taken an early lead through Osian Price.
Tigers could even afford the luxury of a Craig Roberts missed penalty.
