A fifth straight win in all competitions for Meliden nudged them up to second in the Premier Division.

Warren Adam’s side are now level on points with leaders NFA, although the Miners’ goal difference is inferior and they have played two more games.

Saturday’s result at a decent Bro Cernyw outfit was a cracker.

Meliden had the ideal start when Tom Wickerson provided the assist for Macauley Ross’ opener on three minutes.

In the 35th minute an own goal from Hedd Williams put the travellers two-up at the break.

Meliden rounded off a fine afternoon’s work when substitute Lucas Edwards made it 3-0 six minutes into overtime.

Llanfairfechan Town 3 Kinmel Bay 2

After celebrating their first win of the season seven days previously in a NWCFA Intermediate Challenge Cup tie, Llanfairfechan followed up by getting off the mark in the league on Saturday.

Liam Jones’ 25th minute goal gave visitors Kinmel Bay a half-time lead, but Town really picked up their play after the break.

Matthew Williams equalised on 51 from a Harry Croston assist, then Thomas Croston put Glyn Bellfield’s side in front after 65.

Kinmel Bay were not finished as Connor Morris levelled on 69, but long-serving Curtis Murray came up with an extremely popular winning home goal in the 88th minute.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix 2 CPD Llansannan 1

Liam Griffiths and Mezz Knight grabbed the goals which earned Phoenix maximum honours at Cae Sling.

Griffiths struck on four minutes and Knight pocketed the winner after 72, Luke Appleby converting a spot-kick for the visitors with 47 gone.

Rhuddlan Town 0 Llandyrnog United 4

A really good result for Llandyrnog sent Rhuddlan down to bottom spot.

An Alfie Harrison goal on 16 minutes was all that separated the teams at the interval.

In the 56th minute ever-dependable veteran Jo Maguire doubled the away score with a penalty.

Osian Audley added a third on 68 and sub Eddie Evans completed the job with number four after 82.
Rhuddlan had Cole Shone red-carded.
