It was a Dawson father and son double act as Bangor seconds wrapped up victory in pretty quick time at Ty Newydd.

Dad Christopher Dawson returned unusual but stunning figures of 4-0, while his young lad Ollie Dawson picked up 3-16 as the Citizens claimed an eight-wicket success.

Buckley won the toss and chose to bat, but were all out for just 59 in 17.3 overs despite a battling 23 from Mike Wootton.

Christopher Dawson’s 4-0 came off 2.3, Ollie’s 3-16, which comprised Bucks’ top three batsmen, was collected off four overs and Subhan Khan grabbed 2-25.

Maneesha Ayomal Nissanka’s 102 not out totally dominated Bersham’s effort of 161-7 off 40 overs at Gwydir Park – but it was still not enough to bring the visitors victory.

Adam Thomas claimed 2-38 as Llanrwst left themselves with 162 needed to win the match.

And the Rwsters did it in quick time – getting to 164-6 in just 25.1 overs to seal a four-wicket, 12-3 triumph.

Steffan Horan smashed 61 and Alwyn Williams 46 not out in a crucial sixth-wicket stand of 62 after the hosts had initially slumped to 8-3.
