Thrilling night of games in the North Wales Coast Reserve Division – Phoenix back on top

NORTH WALES COAST RESERVE DIVISION – REPORTS, APRIL 5

CPD Pwllheli Reserves 3 CPD Nefyn United Reserves 3

A six-goal cracker and a point apiece in the Llŷn Peninsula derby at Recreation Road.

Rhys Williams put Nefyn in front after 18 minutes, but a Robin Thomas Hicks double before the interval saw Pwllheli into the ascendancy.

Jack Jones levelled things up five minutes into the second half.

Iwan Moore then netted in the 75th minute to edge the second-place Penwaig into the lead for a second time.

But Iwan Roberts-Jones made it three apiece on 83 to ensure it ended honours even.

Llanrug United Reserves 4 Bontnewydd Reserves 1

Owen Roden’s first-half double helped ensure it was a good night overall for Llanrug United FC.

Roden, 17, netted on two and 23 minutes to get his team off to a flyer.

When Sion Gethin Evans made it three just past the hour from the spot, the home side looked very comfortable.

A fourth home goal was added through Berian Llwyd before Cameron Owen nabbed an added time consolation for the away team.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix Reserves 3 St Asaph Reserves 0

Champions Penmaenmawr are back on top after a three-goal success over Saints at Cae Seilo.

Phoenix led 1-0 at half time, then Daniel Williams made it 2-0 in the 75th minute before sub Harri Lloyd Williams added a third on 89.
