Lex XI 18-1 Johnstown

The record books are being consulted at Stansty Park after veteran Alan Huxley scored what could be a club highest 10 GOALS in a single match for Lex last Saturday.

Pretty impressive, especially as the experienced Huxley is 44 years old!

Huxley netted a hat-trick inside the first 19 minutes, added a fourth before half time and then banged in six more in the second period.

Tom Huxley hit three, Sebastian Kidd and Finley Dyer two apiece and Ethan Simpson a single.

Rowan Birch replied for Johnstown when they were 3-0 down.

FC Queen’s Park 3-0 Coedpoeth United

Mike Latham delivered a double and Jack Hanley was also on the mark as the Park advanced to the last eight in midweek.

Coedpoeth Utd Reserves 1-12 Castell Alun Colts

Daniel Woosey struck SEVEN times as Castell Alun eased to victory at Coedpoeth.

Allister Belk (2), Luca Nardo, Louis Pritchard and David MacIntyre made up the dozen, Tyler Morris with the home response.

Connah’s Quay Town 2-0 Mynydd Isa Spartans

Jake Leonard and Pascal Gomez notched the first-half goals which booked Town’s passage at the expense of Spartans.

Greenfield 5-3 Caerwys

A great contest between the Premier Division champions and the Championship leaders ended up in favour of the higher-ranked side.

Samuel Edwards (3), Daniel Calvert (pen) and Lewis Williams combined to produce the Greenfield tally, Matthew Gilsenan (2) and Jack Smallman hitting back for Caerwys.

CPD Gronant 6-1 Greenfield Reserves

Luke Elden was a hat-trick hero for Gronant.

Daniel Price, Steven Kirk and Dylan Taylor also struck for the hosts, who led 5-0 at half time, Elden completing his treble early in the second stanza.

Euan Evans nabbed a consolation for Greenfield Reserves in the 48th minute.

Queen’s Park Reserves 1-2 New Brighton Villa

Matthew Robinson’s pair put Villa two-up before Liam Lawrence responded for the Park Reserves on 70 minutes, but the away side took the honours.

Ruabon Rovers P Penyffordd Lions P

This remaining last 16 tie will be played this Saturday (January 21).

Championship

Acton 3-0 Holywell Town

Sam Giles, Oliver Scarsbrook and Nicholas Dunne pocketed the goals which sealed three points for Acton.

Reserve Division

Caerwys Reserves 2-0 Lex Reserves

Harry Roberts and Ieuan Lowe notched the goals on 22 and 82 minutes respectively as Caerwys edged a win over the Lawmen.

Castell Alun Colts Reserves 0-0 Mynydd Isa Spartans Reserves
