JD CYMRU NORTH

Holyhead Hotspur 1 (Owen 69)
Ruthin Town 2 (S Jones 4, E Davies 9)

Two goals in the opening 10 minutes set up Ruthin for a season’s double over bottom side Holyhead.

Town started well and took the lead on four minutes when Sam Jones finished smartly after keeper Adam Martin had saved a Gwion Owen shot.

The visitors, 2-0 home winners over Hotspur on November 5, doubled the lead after nine minutes when Ethan Davies scored a great individual goal, picking the ball up 30 yards out passing two opposing players and finishing clinically beyond the keeper.

Gwion Owen then had two good chances, one from which he hit the post and the other just wide.

Holyhead pulled a goal back on 70 minutes through Kenleigh Owen, but the game was very scrappy after that and Ruthin saw out the win comfortably.
