A first appearance at Deeside Stadium for the Nomads women and they marked it with a fine derby victory.

Shannon Hobbs broke the deadlock on nine minutes when she calmly accepted a Meg Andrews assist.

Amber Bailey doubled the lead after 64 minutes, heading in a Hobbs free kick from wide out.

And substitute Sienna Strapp bagged the third nine minutes from time.

CPDM Y Felinheli 4 CPD Y Rhyl 1879 3

Jordan Roberts struck two fantastic goals to ensure Felinheli recorded their first win of the season at the expense of promoted Rhyl 1879.

Nel Huws scored first for the hosts on seven minutes and Fflur Williams made it two after 14.

The visitors fought back to level through Niomi Taylor and Becca Bannister, the latter striking from a corner on the stroke of half time.

In the second half, Roberts made it 3-2 with a stupendous 25-yard free kick.

Bannister made it all-square, but ex-Caernarfon Town and CPDM Bangor 1876 player Roberts notched the decider, showing amazing determination on the left to win the ball, beat off defenders and drill home the winner via a tight angle at the near post.

Llanfair United 0 Llandudno 6

Champions Llandudno sent Llanfair tumbling to their third successive 6-0 defeat this season.

Jasmin Dutton set the ball rolling with a penalty, Maddie Williams added a second and Indie Hassall scored twice before substitute Ceri Slaney and Mari Gibbard completed the rout.

NORTH WALES WOMEN’S LEAGUE

Denbigh Town 4 Flint Town United 1

Esra Gunes came on as a second half substitute and scored a stunning hat-trick for a Denbigh side which made it three wins in four starts.

The 18-year-old, a former junior player at Town who has rejoined the club as a senior, struck three times for Ellen Lawson’s team.

Jess Collings put Flint in front, but Charlotte Morris equalised just before half time.

Llanfairfechan Town 1 NFA 12

Sade Benjamin and Emily Jones both netted hat-tricks for leaders NFA against inexperienced newcomers Llanfairfechan.

Stella Windsor (2) and Rebekah Hansen also made the scoresheet and the hosts unfortunately conceded three own goals.

Goalkeeper Emilie Hulme was named the away team’s player of the match.

Freya Simonds scored a consolation for Llanfairfechan.

Trearddur Bay 2 Northop Hall 2

All the goals came in the first half, Ashleigh Jones delivering a double for Trearddur, while Brygida Gorecka and Lauren Chambers hit back for the Hall.

Hayley Rees-Williams, Lois Thomas and Bess Roberts all scored in the first half to secure Pwllheli’s passage into the next round of the NWCFA Challenge Cup.
