NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE REPORTS – SEP 17

PREMIER DIVISION

Lex XI claimed top spot in the North East Wales League Premier Division with an emphatic 15-1 win at Brymbo.

Tom Huxley and Seb Kidd both notched hat-tricks, the latter in a four-minute spell in the closing stages, Alex Palmer and Alan Huxley provided doubles and there was one goal apiece for Jason Edwards, Joshua Betteley, Richard Evans, Aysuner Ibish and Yusein Kosin.

Jordan Prydden provided the home side’s consolation.

Harry Lambert grabbed a treble in Mynydd Isa Spartans’ 5-3 success at Coedpoeth United, Shay Davies and George Davies with one each for the winners, Michael Taylor, Mykel Woollett and Kady Seabrook replying.

CHAMPIONSHIP

In the Championship Division, Ben Barratt delivered SIX goals in Saltney Ferry’s 9-0 drubbing of Bellevue, Jack Nadin, Ryan Barratt and Sam Robinson with one each.

Joshua Hughes and Stephen Lee were on target in Caerwys’ 2-1 triumph at Overton Recreational, Mark Matthews having handed the hosts a first-minute lead.

Jack Radford, Shane Wellings (2) and Craig Jones shared the spoils in new leaders Sychdyn’s 4-1 victory at Aston Park Rangers, Lewis Jones responding.

It ended 4-4 between Acton and CPD Gronant on Friday night.

Samuel Giles (2), Joe Jarvis and Alistair Gibson found the net for Acton, Daniel Price (2), Steven Kirk and Anthony Picken for the visitors.


RESERVES DIVISION

Unbeaten Queen’s Park enjoyed a 4-2 result at Mynydd Isa Spartans in the Reserves Division.

Liam Lawrence (2), Matthew Bithell and Sean Price split the away goals, Hayden Roberts and Hari Pritchard bringing Spartans back to 2-2 at one stage.

Second-place Castell Alun Colts overcame Ruthin Town Development 4-2, Kyle Jarvis, Kacper Wojciech, Jakub Lukanty and Nathan Davies (OG) making up the home tally, visiting goals supplied by Sean Kell and George Mitchell.

Keanu Bruton, Michael Jones and Tyler Morris struck a goal each as Coedpoeth United outscored Lex XI 3-1, George Baxter for the Lawmen, while Matty Holmes and Ethan Holmes earned Penyffordd Lions a 2-1 verdict at Llay Welfare Colts, who led via James Towey’s effort on 20 minutes.

CPD Caerwys Reserves romped to a 5-1 decision at Greenfield, Lewis Connolly, David Jones, Ruari Wood 54 (pen) and Callum Price (2) the away hitmen, Ryan Jones the sole home marksman.

VETERANS DIVISION


Barry Byrne netted the only goal as Buckley Town won 1-0 at Connah’s Quay Navy Club in the Veterans Division.

Terry Jones (2), Jon Kenworthy (2), Daniel Jones and Antony Wearden shared the limelight as Caerwys Veterans whipped their Mochdre Sports counterparts 6-0.
