Female Football Focus 2021-2022 – Catrin Beech (CPDM Bethel)

Catrin Beech (green) lines up with the Bethel squad

CPDM Bethel had a magnificent first season in the Genero Adran North, finishing third in the Tier 2 league.

One of the team’s big strengths is its ability to turn youth and experience into a potent mix.

On the youth side, a promising young goalkeeper emerged by the name of Catrin Beech, who is working alongside the team’s current long-serving custodian Sioned Hughes-Williams (Sions).

Our latest Female Focus turns the spotlight on 16-year-old Catrin.

Tell us something about you we might not know

From the age of 9 I have attended community club sessions by Nathan Craig during school holidays and after school clubs. Since the age of 14, I have volunteered with Pêl-droed Nathan Craig Football. This has given me experience, confidence and enjoyment in teaching young girls and boys football skills from the ages of 4-12 years old.
Attending sessions with the fantastic framework and dedication towards football and teaching children through the Welsh language gives encouragement, confidence to the children, especially the girls. And most importantly giving back to the community what I have been taught by Bethel U-16’s, Ladies and North Wales Girls Performance Centre.
