NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE REPORTS – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20

PREMIER DIVISION

CPD Gaerwen 0
Bodedern Athletic 8 (Asa Thomas 5, 42, 45+10, 52 & 64 (5), Tom Wood 45+1; Marc Evans 49 & 82)

A sixth straight league win for Bodedern which has seen them amass a total of 36 goals in the process ensured they restored their eight-point lead at the Premier Division peak.

Since being held to a draw for the first time this season in their 19th league game by Mynydd Llandegai, Ricky Williams’ side have run off these amazing results in a 26-day spell:

March 26: Amlwch Town (away) 9-1
April 2: Nefyn United (home) 5-0
April 5: Llanberis (away) 5-0
April 9: Menai Bridge Tigers (home) 4-1
April 16: Llanrug United (away) 5-2
April 20: Gaerwen (away) 8-0

Bodedern’s league record now stands at: Played 25 Won 24 Drawn 1 Lost 0 Goals Scored 119 Goals Conceded 16 Points 73

Had there not been another exceptional side like Bangor 1876 in the division, Boded would have been crowned champions weeks ago.

As it is, Athletic travel to third place Penrhyndeudraeth on Saturday, April 23, looking to secure what could be their most important three points of the season.

Wednesday’s visit to Gaerwen was a personal triumph for Asa Thomas, who notched five goals to move his tally for the season up to 56.

He is now just one behind team-mate Marc Evans, whose double at Lon Groes edged him onto 57. Tom Wood was also on target.

DIVISION ONE

LATEST STANDINGS BEFORE GAMES KICK OFF ON SATURDAY, APRIL 23: http://www.allwalessport.co.uk

Cemaes Bay 3 (Mathew Roberts 4, Matty Reynolds 45+3 & 82)
Bethesda Athletic 3 (Daniel Tomos Hughes 54, Joe Todd pen 84 & 87)

Two late goals from Joe Todd salvaged what could yet prove to be a vital point for Bethesda in the Division One title race.

Cemaes led 2-0 at half time, Mathew Roberts striking early before Matty Reynolds doubled the advantage in the 48th minute.

Daniel Tomos Hughes pulled one back for Pesda on 54, but when Reynolds bagged his second eight minutes from time, the contest looked to be all over.

However, the prolific Todd had other ideas as he converted a penalty before adding a leveller soon after.

Llanystumdwy 4 (Darren Parry 30, 31, 33, Sion Parry 34)
Llanfairpwll 2 (Josh Roberts, 1 OG)

Quite a bizarre game in many ways at Dwyfor Park where the hosts scored four goals in as many first-half minutes.

The first half hour was fairly sedate by comparison of what was to come, Darren Parry knocking in a three-minute hat-trick for the hosts before Sion Parry added another in no time.

Shellshocked Llanfair recovered quite well in the second half, hitting back through Josh Roberts and an own goal, but the chief damage had already been done during those four minutes of first half madness.
