Fingers crossed for an all-North Wales final in this season’s FAW Under-16 Girls Welsh Cup competition.
This Sunday, February 13, sees the two semi-finals take place at Latham Park in Newtown – and there is northern interest in both.
CPD Merched Tref Caernarfon will take on Cardiff City, while Penrhyn Bay Girls meet Treowen Stars.
Caernarfon still have an eye on a potential treble.
They have won six out of seven matches in the Under-16 North Wales Girls Football League, are into the NWCFA U-16 Cup final, where a meeting with Llanfairpwll awaits, and have made the Welsh Cup semis.
Caernarfon will be aiming to emulate their Under-16 girls team of 2013-14 who won the Welsh Cup as part of a quadruple.
The Cofis have won 12 of their 13 matches in all competitions this season, their only loss coming in the league to fellow Welsh Cup semi-finalists Penrhyn Bay.

Penrhyn Bay have an outstanding record in the Welsh Cup in recent seasons.
In 2018-19, they were competition winners, Ella Jones scoring a famous hat-trick in a 3-2 triumph over Villa Dino Christchurch. They also landed a quadruple that term.
Bay were beaten finalists last season, going down 4-3 to Barry Town United despite a stunning hat-trick from Wales international Sophie Rawling.
This season, Penrhyn have a 100% record of eight straight wins in the U-16 NWGFL.
They have lost just once in 14 outings, against Airbus in the NWCFA Cup.
