North East Wales League – Penyffordd make it lucky 13 without defeat, Greenfield slip up

NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE REPORTS – DECEMBER 11

PREMIER DIVISION

Greenfield missed a chance to cut the gap on leaders Chirk Town to a point when they lost 2-1 at home to Hawarden Rangers.

Thomas Bridges put the visitors two-up with a goal in each half before Lewis Williams provided a late reply.

Llangollen Town rose to fourth with an impressive 3-0 success at Cefn Mawr Rangers, Kristian Jones (2) and Benjamin Wilson with the away goals.

Kevin Breeze delivered a double in Coedpoeth United’s 2-1 win at New Brighton Villa, Aaron Davies having edged the hosts in front.

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

Brandon Jones and Keiye Williams both struck hat-tricks as Sychdyn swept aside Bellevue 10-2 at Wat’s Dyke Way.

Nathan Bowker (2), Owen Edwards and Shane Wellings made up the rest of the home net-finders, Jason Ratcliffe and Bobby Gregory responding.

Leaders Penyffordd Lions made it 13 without defeat as they bamboozled hosts FC United of Wrexham 10-1.

Ben Hughes led the way with a hat-trick, singles being added by Oliver Johnson, Jordan Jones, Mark Roberts, Ethan Davies, Mark Gallagher, Dominic Randall and Daniel Lee. Callum Parry was the sole home hitman.

Jordan Valentine’s pair sealed Railway Rovers a 2-1 outcome at Johnstown YFC, who took an early lead through Kurt Rushton.

Lee Price (2), Matthew Pritchard, Chris Bennion and David Jackson combined to earn Ruabon Rovers a 5-1 thrashing of Borras Park Albion, Stephen Berry hitting back for the visitors.

RESERVE DIVISION

Kallum Roberts (2) and Ryan Anderson guided Caerwys Reserves to a 3-0 victory over Llangollen Town Reserves.
