Scott Nelson produced a fantastic comeback performance after a long injury lay-off in Rhydymwyn Reserves’ 5-4 win at Brymbo Reserves on Saturday.
Scott netted a first-half hat-trick in a thrilling game which saw Rhyd take a 5-0 lead before withstanding a late revival from the hosts.
A Rhydymwyn spokesman said of Scott’s return: “He’s had a tough time with injury and recovery was long following a herniated disc in his back – so to come back and do that on his first game back we are immensely proud of him!”
