Friday football reports: Jonny Taylor hits SEVEN for Llay’s reserves

FAW RESERVE LEAGUES

Jonny Taylor scored a remarkable seven first half goals in Llay Welfare Reserves’ 8-0 demolition of Rhostyllen Reserves on Friday night in the FAW Reserve League North East.

Ex-Cefn Druids player Taylor struck on 8, 18, 25, 28, 34, 40 and 45 minutes before being substituted early in the second half. Elliott Kavanagh added an eighth for Welfare.

Chirk AAA Reserves maintained their 100 percent record by beating Rhydymwyn Reserves 4-0.

Harvey Edwards (2), Harry Jones and Brad Pearce provided the goals.

Cefn Albion Reserves edged a 5-4 thriller at Brymbo Reserves.

Mike Latham (2), Callum Mannion, Lloyd Royce and Kai Morris were the away marksmen, Tom Perrin with a hat-trick and Joe Evans replying for the Steelmen.

RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH WEST

Holywell Town Reserves pipped Denbigh Town Reserves 3-2 thanks to Kyle Wilkes’ decider six minutes into added time.

Luke Wiltshire and a Conor Jones own goal provided the Wellmen’s other net-finders, Owen Heath with both for Denbigh.

Unbeaten leaders Guilsfield continued their marvellous start to the season with a 5-1 success at Ruthin Town.

In the first match played under the new lights at the Memorial Fields, Guils ran away with it, Jamie Hyne (2), Rob James, Sam Litchfield and Adam Jenkins on the mark, Daniel Cox with the sole reply for the hosts.

Bangor City swept aside 10-man Llangefni Town 6-0, Enzo Zicarelli (2), Dante Isla (2) Daniel Mullarkey and Cai La Trobe-Roberts sharing the goals.

Cefni had goalkeeper Steve Sinclair sent off in the 66th minute for a perceived handball outside his area.

Gresford Athletic scored four times in the final 20 minutes to see off Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant 4-0 at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.

Joe Chaplin (2), Dave Macintyre and Jordan MacCarter split the goals.

ARDAL NORTH EAST

Jack Williams was a hat-trick star as Berriew swamped Penparcau 5-0.

Joe Haycock and Richard Davies were also on target for the home side.

NORTH EAST WALES LEAGUE

Leaders Chirk Town made it nine games unbeaten and maintained their 100 percent home record with a 4-1 beating of Lex XI.

Tristan Lloyd (2, 1 pen), James Williams and Nicky Williams were the home hitmen, Ashley Edwards having handed the Lawmen a very early lead.

In the Championship Division, Penyffordd Lions stay top with eight straight wins on their log after defeating Sychdyn 5-3.

Frederick Howarth (3) and William Pritt (2) shared the home goals, Nathan Large (2) and Keiye Williams (pen) for the visitors.

Ruabon Rovers registered an impressive 7-0 triumph at Johnstown YFC.

Chris Bennion plundered a hat-trick, Michael Jones, Ryan Williams, Dave Jackson and Andrew Swarbrick one each.

Goals from Rob Jones and Sean Kell in the second half sealed Ruthin Town Development a 2-0 verdict over Coedpoeth United Reserves in the North East Wales Reserve Division.
