Connah’s Quay Nomads rattled up an 8-0 win over Frodsham on Thursday night.

Jordan Parry and Stephen Boyes’ side are looking strong ahead of their debut season in the new Genero Adran North league.

Nomads kick off their campaign at home to Denbigh Town on Sunday, September 5.

Manager Parry was pleased with Thursday’s performance, which saw the Quay net four goals in each half.

Manager Jordan Parry

“We set the tone from the off,” he said. “We approached Frodsham like we would any other team. They didn’t stop working in all fairness, We dominated possession and understood where the space was to play from the off.

“If anything we could have been more clinical maybe in the final third with the amount of chances created, but overall a pleasing performance.

“We now have to move on quickly, onto our last preseason game versus The New Saints on Sunday where we will look to repeat the same standards.”

Exciting new front player Tamara Hamer netted twice in the first half against Frodsham, Kylie Jones and Niamh Grimshaw also on target.

In the second half, Hamer completed her hat-trick, Kylie Jones struck again and Shannon Hobbs added a double.

Starting 11: Charlie Bolland, Kirstie Kural, Shannon Hobbs, Cat King, Llinos Hughes, Kylie Jones, Jade Scott, Niamh Grimshaw, Tamara Hamer, Chelsea Bloor, A Trialist. Subs: Lauren Davies, A Trialist.
