What a start to the season for Flint Town United and their new striker Mike Wilde.
Following their opening day 5-1 success at Cardiff Met University, Neil Gibson’s side whipped Cefn Druids 4-0 at the Essity Stadium on Saturday to maintain their early table leadership on goal difference.
That man Wilde has banged in five goals in two matches, including a hat-trick versus the Druids.
The 37-year-old, who has won nine Cymru Premier title medals in a glittering career, is also now the third highest scorer of all-time in the national league.
Saturday’s treble raised him to 211 goals, two in front of Lee Hunt.
