Paul Jenkins produced majestic figures of 4-15 as Colwyn Bay romped to victory at St Francis Xaviers School on Saturday.
Hosts Old Xaverians were put into bat and bowled out for 71, Jenkins’ fine spell well supported by Ryan Holtby, 3-10 off nine, James Jones 2-22 from 10 and Vishal Kushwah 1-17.
Bay cruised to 73-2 off 17.5 overs, Kushwah 37 and Sion Morris 25 not out, for a 20-1 points success.
Will Higginson’s half century was the highlight of an emphatic defeat for Northop Hall.
Put into bat, the Flintshire visitors managed 145-6 off 48 overs, skipper Higginson 56 not out.
Liverpool took 30 overs to reach 148-4, Harrison Jones 2-56 for the North Walians.

Oliver Pitman’s commanding 52 not out helped ensure Bay seconds remain top of the 2nd XI First Division.
Xavs won the toss and decided to bat, Shay Williams taking an excellent 3-21 from 10 overs and James Smith 2-14 as the visitors were dismissed for 125.
Pitman’s 52 off just 32 balls, including six fours and three sixes, guided Bay to a winning 127-4 in 32.2 overs.
Despite setting a formidable 216-1 off 39 overs Northop Hall seconds ended up losing at home to Spring View.
Adam Littler finished 114 not out and opening partner Evan Withe hit 67 as the hosts took advantage of being put in, but the visitors hit back with a winning 217-5 from 42 overs. Rutujay Chawda 2-34 and Liam Evans-Ford 2-41 in a 20-7 points loss.
Rhys Jones took 4-31 and Issac Sheridan 3-42 as Prestatyn bowled out their opponents for 185, Ellis Taylor with a match-winning 103.
The hosts were then skittled out for just 56, Dave Gregson 5-18, Taylor 4-35.
