Kieran New claimed a stunning 7-61 as Northop Hall triumphed by a single wicket in a thriller at Highfield.
Put into bat, the hosts lost their first two wickets on 28 and 29 to the bowling of Darren Leach before New took seven of the next eight to fall.
Highfield were bowled out for 138, Leach taking 2-52.
Despite good knocks from Will Higginson (44), Ben Slater (25) and Harrison Jones (24), Hall were nine down and facing defeat only for bowling heroes New and Leach to see them to 139-9.
Highfield’s Madduma Lakmal had reason to feel hard done by, as he scored 52 and took 5-36, yet still ended up on the losing side.
Despite a great innings of 100 from Vishal Kushwah, the Bay ended up well beaten at the Park.
The North Wales side won the toss, elected to bat, but were all out for 191, Kushwah by far and away the standout batsman, hitting 10 fours and six sixes in his 96-ball showpiece before getting out caught.
Sion Morris added 20 for the visitors, with Satyajeet Bachhav taking 7-68 for the hosts.
Park then eased to 194-4, Paul Jenkins 2-43 and Kushwah 2-46 for the away team.
After bowling out the hosts for a paltry total Prestatyn were odds-on to claim victory – but it did not work out that way.
Sheil Sethi (3-16), Sampath Perera (3-20) and Ben Hughes (3-22) combined to dismiss the hosts for 74 after putting them into bat.
But Prestatyn were then blasted out for just 54, Sethi (17) the only double-figures merchant, while Alex Oldfield snapped up a crucial 7-16 for the home team.
