Sion Edwards claimed a marvellous 6-19 as ruthless leaders Marchwiel and Wrexham dismissed Bersham for just 48.

Winning the toss and choosing to bat, Jason Wharam (56) and Nick Husbands (33) led the way as the hosts set 189-8 off 40 overs, Amith Thilakarathne scooping 3-30 for the Colliers.

Edwards then ripped through the Bersham batting, his 6-19 coming off nine overs, George Forgrave snapping up 2-11.

ST ASAPH 2ND XI (1) 183-6 BUCKLEY (14) 187-3

Opener William Norman struck an impressive 66 as second-place Buckley romped to a seven-wicket success at Elwy Park Grove.

David North (59) and skipper Ben Murphy (56) batted well in St Asaph’s effort of 183-6, the former clouting six sixes, Louis Parry taking 2-33 for the visitors.

Buckley’s batsmen all performed as a unit, reaching 187-3 off 38.1, with Norman top-scoring.

Samuel Edwards (34 no), Joel Sampson (29), Jack Massey (26 no) and Sam Evans (24) all made an impact, Elliot Goddard taking a superb 2-16 from seven for Asaph.

CARMEL & DISTRICT (12) 141-8 MENAI BRIDGE 2ND XI (3) 69-10

Some standout performances were on show from Carmel in this impressive victory over their Anglesey visitors.

The home side chalked up a modest 141-8 off their 40 overs, opener Dafydd Bailey excelling with an unbeaten 60, wicket-keeper Ryan Roberts adding 28.

Phil Smith shone in the Menai bowling, returning figures of 3-13 off nine overs, while Doug Searle collected 3-39.

Despite a stoic 35 from Sam Bixby, the Bridge were rolled over for just 69, Derek Johnson a brilliant 5-16 from nine, Ieuan Jones 3-14 and Connor Hughes 2-19.

Nice to see so many good individual displays spread around.

DENBIGH 2ND XI (0) 138-10 GRESFORD 2ND XI (15) 139-1

Gresford eased to a nine-wicket success at Ystrad Road.

Denbigh were bowled out for 138, Peter Lloyd 42, Gez Jones 3-20 and Wes Evans 2-11 for the visitors.

Gresford cruised to 139-1 in 30.1 overs, Wes Evans 56 not out, Lukas Pold 36 no, for a maximum points reward.

LLAY WELFARE 2ND XI (-15) NORTHOP 2ND XI (10)

Llay Welfare 2nd XI conceded.

MOLD 2ND XI (1) 151-10 MOCHDRE 2ND XI (14) 152-2

Fifteen-year-old Owen Opie took his first senior five-for as Mochdre romped to victory at Mold.

Put into bat, the Flintshire hosts were 151 all out, Luca Davies best with 34, young Opie notching 5-24 off nine, Liam Herbert 3-24 and Sean McHale 2-20 for the visitors.

Dan Miller finished 60 not out and Opie unbeaten on 30 as Mochdre reached 152-2 in 32.5 overs for a 14-1 victory.
