Pete Morris is back at NBV

Tier 4 New Brighton Villa Football Club have announced the return of Pete Morris to the management team.

Pete is back with the North East Wales League Premier Division outfit after spending 12 months at Ardal League side Brymbo with former manager Dave Roberts.

Following Dave’s decision to join Hawarden Rangers, Pete opted to return to the Estadio de Mark Lopez.

A New Brighton Villa statement said: “Before his departure last summer, Pete was an integral part of the management team and we are thrilled that he is returning to pick up where he left off.

“He will be a vital part of our coaching set up and his influence on and off the pitch will be invaluable to the club going forward.”

Pete said: “I’m delighted to be back home, following my departure from Brymbo.

“I had several offers, including continuing with Dave Roberts at Hawarden, but as soon as there was an opportunity to return to New Brighton I felt it was too good an offer to turn down.

“I feel given the squad the management team have assembled and with targets we are looking to bring in, I’m confident NBV will have a very successful season.”

Yellers manager Shaun Antrobus said: “I’m made up that Pete has returned to the coaching staff. After hearing how much of a positive impact Pete had in his previous spell at the club, it was a no-brainer that it would bring a major boost with him returning. Along with Liam, I know we’re excited to start working with Pete.”

Pete joined the players for training last week has been on the touchline for the last two friendly games.
