Cymru North champions Prestatyn Town are certainly stepping up the quality of their signings as they prepare for the big kick-off next month.
The Seasiders, denied promotion to the Cymru Premier last summer on a domestic license issue, are rebuilding their squad completely following the departure of Neil Gibson and the introduction of former TNS star John Lawless as manager in October.
The latest well-known name to arrive at Bastion Gardens is ex-Wrexham left-back Johnny Hunt.
The 30 year old England international at C level joins Prestatyn having previously also played for Cambridge United, Chester, Mansfield Town, Stevenage and most recently Hamilton Academical.
Lawless said: “Johnny’s got a great left foot and can play in a number of positions. He’ll be another great asset for this club to get to where we want to be.
“There was a number of clubs after him so we’re delighted he’s bought into what we want to achieve at Prestatyn Town.”
Hunt progressed through the youth academy at Wrexham before making his first-team debut towards the end of the 2009-10 season.
He spent five seasons at the Racecourse, and during his time there scored the winning penalty against Grimsby Town in the 2013 FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium.
Hunt featured in 120 matches across all competitions for the Dragons, scoring 13 goals.
Another recent arrival at Bastion Gardens is winger Dale Jennings.
The 27-year-old spent two years at Bayern Munich, featuring regularly for the world-famous German club’s reserve team. His progress there was hampered by injury problems.
Having started his senior career at Tranmere Rovers, before being snapped up by Bayern in 2011, Jennings went on to play for Barnsley, Milton Keynes Dons and Runcorn Town.
Former Tranmere Rovers, Morecambe, Wigan Athletic, Burton Albion and Portsmouth right-back Adam Buxton signed for Prestatyn last month.
It was announced this week that the Seasiders will be home to Holywell Town in their opening Cymru North match of the curtailed 2020-21 season on the weekend of January 15-16.
