Penblwydd hapus Mr Parry – chwaraewr newydd CPD Dyffryn Nantlle

Prolific marksman Sion Parry turns 24 today having already amassed almost 300 senior goals in his career.

Sion signed for tier 3 Ardal North West club Nantlle Vale from Bangor 1876 in June, but is yet to make his debut for the Penygroes-based side due to no football below tier 1 having been played since March 2020 due to coronavirus.

The net-finder supreme has notched 291 career goals, the majority of them coming for Llanystumdwy, where he won the Gwynedd League golden boot four times outright and once joint.

Parry began last season at Porthmadog, where he netted four goals for the first team in the Cymru North before switching to Bangor 1876 in January, scoring nine times as the newly-formed club roared to the Gwynedd League title.

Sion’s impressive football highlights reel includes bagging a hat-trick for Llanystumdwy in a 3-0 NWCFA Intermediate Cup Final victory over Llandudno Albion in 2015-16.

Three days before his 19th birthday in the same season, Sion came on as a substitute for Porthmadog versus in-form Holywell Town in the Cymru Alliance and scored the only goal – his debut strike for the first team.

Tremadog lad Parry’s best goals total in a season is 60 in a Llanystumdwy shirt in 2017-18.

The following campaign, he hit 49 for a Porthmadog Reserves team which landed the Welsh Alliance Reserves Division league and cup double.
