A veterans football team coming off the back of their best-ever season are looking for new players to join them for the campaign ahead.
CPD Caerwys FC Vets were on the crest of a wave after being crowned undefeated 2019-20 North East Wales Veterans League winners.
Now they are preparing for another shot at honours when competition begins in the new league to be formed.
The good news already is that last term’s stars are steadily putting pen to paper.
Nick Voyle and Antony Wearden are among those to re-sign.
Topping the table for assists, Nick set up 28 goals last season whilst also scoring 13 times himself. Ant finished top marksman with 40 goals in 29 appearances.
Also rejoining are Gavin Hughes, Dai Jones and Stephen Hughes.
Combined they made 77 appearances last season, providing 28 assists and 23 goals.
Title-winning team captain Grae Davies and vice-captain Lee Jones will be part of things again in 2020-21.
Both players played a vital role in last season’s triumph and are hungry for more silverware.
However, CPD Caerwys FC Veterans are still looking for new players in ALL positions for the upcoming campaign.
If you’re aged 35 or over and want to get involved then please get in touch via @CaerwysFCVets on Twitter
