Rhuddlan Town manager Wayne Hughes strengthens squad by signing Jake Parry

Jake Parry has joined Rhuddlan Town

Rhuddlan Town’s championship-winning manager Wayne Hughes has wasted no time in strengthening his squad for next season.

Last month saw Town clinch the final-ever Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division title, becoming the only club to win it twice.

In the new pyramid system being introduced in 2020-21, Rhuddlan are expected to complete in the new tier 4 and 5 North Wales Coast East Football League.

Manager Hughes is keen to improve his squad over the summer and has begun with the signing of centre-back Jake Parry from Denbigh Town.

“Jake has played for the reserves the last couple of seasons but started to break into the first team before he decided to concentrate on his last year in university,” said Wayne.

“Jake is a solid centre-back, a very fit and physical player who will be a great addition to our club.

“Jake’s brother Joshua Parry currently plays for us at left-back and was one of our standout players last season.

“We also had the third brother at pre-season last year, Mathew Parry, who played right-back, but decided to join Rhyl All Stars.

“We are talking to a couple of other players to bring into the squad so fingers crossed we can get the players we want.”
