Music to the ears of Bangor 1876 fans!

What song do you think would be perfect for Bangor 1876 players to take the field to?

How about the best tunes to play pre-match, at half time and maybe after the final whistle?

The Gwynedd League club wants YOUR ideas as it plans to set up a Public Address system at its Treborth ground.

A club statement said today: “An important element of the Action Plan to achieve the ground improvements at Treborth necessary to meet the FAW’s criteria for tier three grounds is a Public Address system serving the spectator areas and the immediate environs of the ground.

We are pleased to announce that, in accordance with our partnership approach with the University, the club will be financing, and has recently placed an order with local company, Sain a Goleuo MAD Cyf (MAD Sound and Lighting Ltd), for a state of the art installation at Treborth.

We hope that the current suspension of games will allow the company to complete the work in time for the resumption of fixtures.

The new PA system will allow us to provide a better match-day experience with music, interviews and announcements and we are very interested in hearing from the fans what they wish to hear!

In particular we’re hoping to provide a facility for individual fans, players, and the coaches to nominate their top tunes and will be running a vote for the music to which the players will run out.

We’re open to other suggestions for match-day entertainment so let us know what you want to hear.

Thanks to Sam and Richard from Bangor University, Gwyn Hughes from MAD and Dewi Thomas from Owen and Palmer for their assistance with this project.

We will be providing updates as to the progress of implementing the Action Plan over the next few weeks.”
