Bangor 1876 aim to end 2019 on a real high

Bangor 1876 will aim to end 2019 on top of the Gwynedd League table when they host Bontnewydd at Treborth tomorrow evening (Monday, December 30, 7.45 pm kick-off).

Mel Jones and Dylan Williams’ side have won all 10 league matches this season, but this will be their first meeting with Bont, who are in seventh spot.

The Caernarfon area visitors have won four of their six away games to date, so will not travel without hope.

Bont were also the first team to beat current leaders Trearddur Bay Bulls this term, so they can be dangerous opponents.

1876 enter the match on the back of two consecutive 6-0 victories and have won five on the bounce. Dylan Summers-Jones has scored in each of those games, accumulating nine goals to reach 28 for the season in all.

Bangor 1876 will be having another foodbank collection at tomorrow’s game and all remaining home matches this season.

Donations will be gratefully received at the clubhouse. The club is grateful to everyone who so generously supported its first foodbank collection at the match at home to Llanystumdwy before Christmas.
