Marc Evans scored all five goals as Gwalchmai went top of Welsh Alliance Division Two with a 5-2 victory at Kinmel Bay.

Former Llandudno and Rhyl striker Evans, a past record-breaking goal-getter with New Zealand club Melville, rejoined Gwalch in September and has steadily been making his mark.

However, Saturday brought the 29-year-old front man’s best performance of the season to date as he went nap at Y Morfa.

Kinmel had struck two early blows through Kieron Evans and Matthew Marsh-Evans before the striker nicknamed “Loggs” took centre stage.

Holyhead Town edged a hard-fought 3-2 verdict over previous table-toppers Penmaenmawr Phoenix.

Bryn Roberts, Asa Thomas and Leeroy Parry struck for the Harbourmen, Dan Williams with both replies.

Llandudno Amateurs and Aberffraw shared a 2-2 split. Richard Roberts bagged both for bottom side Berffro, Steve Collins and Luke O’Mahoney for the hosts.

It was also 2-2 between Y Felinheli and Mochdre Sports, Iwan Owen and Gruff John the home scorers, Alex Williams for the visitors.

In Division One, Brett Johns, Sion McHugh, Danny Calvert and Sam Jones were on target as Greenfield romped to a 4-0 success at Blaenau Amateurs.

Conor Davies scored twice but was also shown a late red card in Glan Conwy’s narrow 3-2 win over Penrhyndeudraeth. Azzy Boyle was also on the mark for Glan, Adam Griffiths with both for the away side.

Llandyrnog United celebrated just their second win of the campaign with a 4-2 result against an in-form Mynydd Llandegai.

Mike Guest edged Dyrny in front before Ben Parker and Gavin Owen hit back to give the visitors a half-time lead.

United turned the tables in the second half, Josh Jones (2) and Craig Jones sealing them the points.

Llanberis were 7-4 winners in a goal-fest at basement boys Prestatyn Sports.

Gareth Edwards (3), Ben Rowlands (2), Nidian Huws and an own goal made up the away tally, Kris Owen (2), Ashley New and Rob Dunn replying for Sports.

Bangor City made it six wins from as many starts in the Reserves Division with a 5-1 beating of Penmaenmawr Phoenix, Francesco Serafino (2, 1 pen), Lorenzo Castillo, James Lee Thomas and Francesco Leghissa with the home total.

Andy Thomas netted the only goal in Denbigh Town’s 1-0 win over Colwyn Bay, while Llanrwst United overcame Llanrug United 3-1, Aaron Hughes with all three.

Rhys Williams and Sion Parry pocketed a pair apiece and Gethin Thomas a single as champions Porthmadog got past Nantlle Vale 5-3 at Y Traeth, Iestyn Worth, Aaron Hughes and Aeron Williams finding the net for the visitors.

William Hughes (4) and Ben Jones (2) guided Llangefni Town to a 6-3 triumph over Kinmel Bay, Steven Flanagan (2) and Mason Richards for the travelling side.
