Buckley Town 1-1 Gresford Athletic
Guilsfield 2-0 Porthmadog
Holyhead Hotspur 2-1 Llanberis
Holyhead Hotspur bounced back from their heavy weekend defeat at Llanrwst United with a hard-fought 2-1 home win over Llanberis tonight.
Darren Garmey’s side returned to second spot in Division One, just a point behind leaders Denbigh Town with two games in hand.
The result against the Darans also ensured Hotspur maintained their 100% home record with a fifth straight league win at the New Stadium.
The visitors took the lead through Tomos Saynor, but just before half time the home team levelled with a penalty from Kenleigh Owen.
With the second half proving a scrappy affair, it looked like a draw was the likely outcome until a nice pass from Dewi Thomas set up Owen for an 80th minute decider.
Porthmadog remain in the bottom three following a 2-0 defeat at Guilsfield.
Adam Davies put the Powys hosts into an early lead and the same player sealed the points with an added time second.
Buckley Town and Gresford Athletic shared the honours 1-1 at The Globe.
Ben Jones kept Gresford in the contest with three brilliant saves in the first 17 minutes before Athletic turned the tables with an attack which saw Harley Steel’s shot kept out only for Jake Eyre to convert the rebound.
Straight from the restart, Bucks responded when Aron Williams made it 1-1.
Kieran Evans went close to putting Gresford back in front when his free kick came back off the crossbar, but there were no further goals.
