Netball: Gwynedd and Anglesey Division Two – Moniars win tight battle

Great win: It was close, but the Moniars got the victory against Wnion

Moniars defeated Dolgellau Wnion 24-21 in the closest match of the night in Division Two of the Gwynedd and Anglesey Netball League.

There was never much in it, but a four-goal lead for the Anglesey side entering the final quarter meant they could afford to lose the last 8-7 but still win the game.

Llangefni and WaliB’s were convincing victors, 30-12 and 22-5 versus Mellt and Sombreros respectively.

Tacos led by three ahead of the fourth quarter against Amigos, so a close finish was in prospect.

However, Tacos won that final session 5-2 to run out eventual 18-12 winners.
